Leads
What is Lead?
Lead in Salesforce is used to store information about a person interested in the product or service. In business terms, leads are the people who are your potential customers.
It contains some information about a company and the information of a person working in that company.
Creating a Lead
To create a lead click on New Lead
under Footer or select Leads
tab and click on New
button. In Salesforce
Created Leads will be visible under the Leads
tab. which can be accessed from any page.

Note: Leads are private, which means that other users cannot view your leads information. However, they can search to see if a lead already exists with a certain name. This way, they can determine if the lead is already being managed by someone else, such as yourself.
Delete Lead
The leads you have entered have permission to be deleted if they are not required or were created mistakenly.

Converting a load
When you convert a lead, Salesforce uses the information stored in the lead record to create a business account, a contact.

When the Convert button is clicked, a popup opens with some options displaying the expected information, such as the name of the account and contact after the lead has been converted.
Additionally, we can replace the existing account or contact with lead details.
